Wedding photography

Your day, your story,
beautifully preserved.

Quiet, honest wedding photography across South Wales.

The approach

No stiff poses. No missed moments .

Every wedding is different, so coverage is built around the day you have planned. I quietly notice the glances, the nerves and the laughter that nobody staged, then hand-edit each image so your gallery feels as true as the day itself.

Top tips for planning your day

Hard-earned advice from photographing weddings across South Wales, for the months before and the day itself. Every couple also receives a hints and tips brochure once they're booked, and I'm always happy to chat through any questions or concerns before the day.

  • Build in more time than you think you need

Everything on a wedding day takes longer than planned. Add a buffer of fifteen to twenty minutes around getting ready, travel and group photographs and the whole day feels calm rather than rushed.

  • Get ready in the best light in the room

Ask your stylist to set up near a window and keep the space tidy where you'll be photographed. Natural light on your preparations makes those early images soft and timeless.

  • Keep the group shot list short

Eight to ten groupings is the sweet spot. Ask two confident people from each family to help gather everyone, and the formals are done in twenty minutes rather than an hour.

  • Plan your ceremony and speeches around the light

If you can, avoid harsh midday sun for an outdoor ceremony, and leave a gap near sunset. Ten quiet minutes at golden hour will give you some of the most beautiful photographs of the day.

  • Give yourselves a moment alone

Slipping away together for a short walk after the ceremony is the one thing couples tell me they're most grateful for. It's the only quiet part of the day, and it photographs beautifully.

  • Tell me what matters most

Your grandmother's brooch, the friend who travelled furthest, the surprise your partner doesn't know about. Share these with me beforehand and I'll make sure they're captured.

“They were everywhere and nowhere all at once. We barely noticed the camera, then got back photographs that made us cry.”
